![]() If you liked the first Beholder, you will very likely enjoy this sequel as well. Overall, I found this to be a great game with interesting storylines, an excellent sense of humor and some moral choices thrown in for good measure. However, there is no running clock like in the original, instead actions cost "time" to do and there really isn't as much pressure to move around as quickly. The cartoonish graphics are similar to the first game, as are the conversation styles, searching and talking to gain information, task structure etc. You are no longer the manager of an apartment building but rather a government worker, doing various bureaucratic tasks, getting to know your co-workers and bosses and trying to survive in this exaggerated, crazy environment. You are tasked with finding your way in these new surroundings and advancing your career through any means possible, all the while trying to unravel the mystery of your father's recent death. Although set in the same totalitarian country as the first game with some tie-ins and recurring characters, this time you play as Evan Redgrave, a new hire to the Ministry, the large central government building. The Beholder 2 is the sequel to the outstanding Beholder game and DLC, with some similarities and some differences from the original.
